Why Life is Best Lived Outside Your Comfort Zone

We all experience hard times and this is ok, it's a sign we're living.

We could easily hide away and avoid these times, in doing so we also miss the love & joy in life.

I was one of these people. I would hide away only sticking to what I knew to be comfortable. I never tried new things in fear of failure, I wouldn't show people the real me in fear of rejection. Although I was successful in avoiding hard times I also missed out on the opportunities life was offering me. The opportunities to connect with others, to learn and grow, to succeed, to go after my dreams and goals.

When I began to let go of the fear around failure and judgement I began to build the courage to do things that were out of my comfort zone. Did it hurt? Yes it hurt so bad, it still does today. Is it worth it? Hell yes!

Living life to the fullest and going after my dreams involves getting out of my comfort zone, trying new things and staying true to who I am. This isn't easy. I fail, I get rejected sometimes but then I also grow, I learn, I better myself, I become closer to my dreams, I connect with some amazing, beautiful people and I get to feel the love and joy that comes with these times.

To go through a few hard times is worth it in order to experience the good times. The other option is to have neither of them at all.

Live life outside your comfort zone. It's where the great things happen.
